On Monday October 2nd, producer Fredrik Wikström Nicastro, who is also a former student at Stockholm Filmschool, held a very interesting and inspiring talk at Klarabiografen.
Fredrik studied at the Stockholm Film School 1998 – 1999, and after that he went on to study at the former Dramatiska Institutet. He is today a producer and manager at SF’s production company Tre Vänner. Fredrik has, among other films, produced the Easy Money-trilogy (Snabba Cash), One eye red (Ett öga rött), The boy with the golden pants (Pojken med guldbyxorna) and now most recently the critically acclaimed Borg/McEnroe.
If you missed this interesting talk, there will soon be a film from the seminar here!
Our former student Paola Ciliberto has been employed as a developer in the field of film and moving image at Kultur Skåne from August.
Paola Ciliberto is currently a film consultant and managing director of Film på Gotland, where she has been active for 10 years and has contributed strongly to developing Gotland as a film region.
“I look forward to contributing to the work on artistic development of the film in Skåne,” says Paola Ciliberto.
We congratulate Paola for the new assignment and wish her the best of luck!
On Saturday the 3rd of June we had a successful film screening at Biorio when we showed what both our first year students and second year students have achieved during the year. We met everything from small town vampires to mysterious fishes, from suburbian gangstas to family drama, from sacrificial cults to nightly city walks, from cat rescuers to white horses, from fog to storm, from glittering realism to the blackest magic.
We saw a lot of amazing movies and we do not think anyone left the cinema indifferent.
Thank you to all who came and joined!
Did you miss the film screening? See all the movies from the first part (first year students) here! The second part of the screening (second year students) will soon be available here too.
Our former student cinematographer Linus Sandgren won an Oscar for best cinematography in the film “La La Land”. We are so proud and happy!
Congratulations from all of us at the film school! See the TV4 News feature from the school where our cinematography teacher Lotta Tengroth talks about Linus Sandgren and the importance of the award for the Swedish cinematography here (in Swedish).
