Acting Program
The Acting Program is a two semester course in Acting for Film led by industry professionals.
The Acting Program is a one year long international program in English. During the program you will perform mainly in front of the camera together with students from all over the world. You will not only participate in short films but also learn how a film set works and how to prepare as an actor with classes in several acting techniques, vocal and physical acting, stage fighting and more. The program is focused on finding your way in to the film industry and you will work with casting agents as well as experienced actors and filmmakers. A showreel with 8-12 short films, CV and photos will be delivered to you at the end of the year to start your career in film.
To ensure a high level of quality and each student’s individual development, we only accept a few students each year. The educators and administrators work daily to ensure that each student has access to all aspects of an excellent acting education and excellent opportunities to develop and succeed as a professional within the film and theatre business in Sweden and abroad.

The Acting Program is an intensive two semester course. During two semesters you study:
- How to analyze text.
- How to prepare as an actor.
- How to build a character for theatre, film and voice acting.
- How to work with physical acting.
- How to use your voice.
- How to work with a director for theatre and film.
- How to interact with other producers, directors, cinematograhers and all other areas of film production.
- How to collaborate.
- How to find your own personal vision as an artist.
CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT
In order to accept your offer you should pay the tuition fee of € 12.000. When non-payment according to the invoice occurs, statutory fees will be added. Payment must be paid within 30 days to secure your attendance in the program or course, invoice is sent separately via Fortnox, our digital financial service company.
Having a right of withdrawal by law means that you have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase that you made off-premises, for example online. If an applicant who has been accepted to the school and paid decides, for any reason, not to start the course, the school must be informed before or on the 8th of September, within 14 days after school has started.
We do NOT OFFER REFUNDS after the 14 day Right of Withdrawal period unless you have a medical certificate stating that you are not able to participate in the program.. All invoices are sent via email to the address submitted in the application.
The Acting Program is not covered by CSN – Swedish Board of Student Finance.
We do not offer accommodation services but we do have arrangements with Long Stay hotels nearby.
The average price range for rooms in Stockholm is €400 to €1000 a month depending of the distance to the city centre.

HEALTH INSURANCE
EU/EEA/Swiss citizens -you should register for a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) in your home country before coming to Sweden. This card gives you the right to medical care at the same cost as Swedes.
Non-EU/EEA citizens: stays of less than one year – If you have a residence permit valid for a period of less than a year, you won’t have access to the public health insurance. Students who aren’t covered by the public health insurance must arrange for their own insurance coverage, as medical treatment can be very expensive without any form of insurance. It’s highly recommended to arrange for health insurance from your home country so that you’re covered during your trip to Sweden and as soon as you arrive.

ACCOMMODATION
Stockholm Film School does not have the possibility to offer accommodation for students.
The average price range for rooms in Stockholm is €400 to €1000 a month depending of the distance to the city centre.
There are several webpages that offer accommodations, for example blocket.se and andrahand.se. Although the majority of rentals posted online are legit, you should always follow these three simple rules for your safety:
1. Never pay before signing the contract.
2. Ask the landlord for their personal id when signing the contract to validate their information (they will do the same with you so don’t be shy).
3. Pay the deposit only to a Swedish bank account.

ABOUT STOCKHOLM FILM SCHOOL
Stockholm Film School (Stockholms Filmskola) is established 1984. The education is financed exclusively via tuition fees. The film school has statutes, a board and an employed artistic leader/principal. The film school owns certain technical equipment and employs requisite teachers.
ADMISSION TO EDUCATION
Application to participate in the film school’s programs shall be done in the application form on the website.
Applicants who are admitted to the school are informed by e-mail to the adress submitted in the application. Together with the admission notification, the applicant’s application fee of €200 is also invoiced.
When the admission fee has reached the school, the admission is definite. If the admission fee is not paid on time the admission is rendered void, and the ensuing vacancy is filled by another applicant.
TUITION FEE
The total tuition fee for the International Acting Program per school year is €12000. In order to accept the offer and secure your place at Stockholm Films School it is necessary to pay the fees and charges due as indicated in the Letter of admission. You can not apply for CSN (Swedish student financial aid) for this program.
CONDITIONS OF PAYMENT
At admission, the student will be invoiced the first installment (admission fee) of their tuition cost of €200. When the admission fee is received by the school, the admission is definite and the student has reserved their vacancy. The second installment of €11800 has to be paid before the beginning of the school year according to invoice sent to the student. When nonpayment according to invoice occurs, statutory fees will be added. All invoices are sent via email to the address submitted in the application.
If an applicant who has been accepted to the school and paid the first installment decides, of any reason, not to start the course, the film school must be notified in writing by e-mail as soon as possible, at the very latest 30 days before the program starts or s/he is obliged to pay the remaining tuition fee of €11800 according with the sent invoices. The first installment of €200 is non-refundable.
